Islamabad: Pakistan and Egypt have agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, including security, counter-terrorism, and cybercrime. This development follows a meeting between a delegation from the Egyptian Interior Ministry and Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, both parties have decided to increase collaboration between their respective interior ministries. The discussions also focused on enhancing cooperation between Pakistan’s National Police Academy and Egypt’s Police Academy, with plans for joint training of officers. Minister Naqvi emphasized the need for practical steps to strengthen relations with Egypt, while Minister Chaudhry highlighted the extensive opportunities for cooperation in counter-terrorism and internal security.

The meeting concluded with plans for a Pakistani delegation to visit Egypt to explore new avenues for collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
