ISLAMABAD: Pakistan emphasized its longstanding friendship with Croatia during a meeting between Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Croatian Foreign Minister Dr. Gordan Grlic Radman in Islamabad. The discussions marked the first visit by a Croatian Foreign Minister to Pakistan, which was described as a milestone in the diplomatic relationship between the two nations.
According to Radio Pakistan, Gilani expressed Pakistan’s appreciation for its enduring friendship with Croatia, which is built on mutual respect and goodwill. He voiced optimism that the visit would invigorate bilateral cooperation. Additionally, Gilani invited Croatian President Zoran Milanovic to visit Pakistan at a mutually convenient time.
Dr. Gordan Grlic Radman expressed gratitude for the hospitality and reiterated Croatia’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Pakistan. He highlighted the potential for enhanced political dialogue, parliamentary exchanges, and economic cooperation to further solidify the friendly relations between the two countries.
Both parties agreed to maintain regular high-level contacts and collaborate to realize the potential of their bilateral relations across areas of shared interest.
