Pakistan and China Reaffirm Commitment to Mutual Welfare and Defense Collaboration


Islamabad: In a high-level meeting today, Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif and General Li Qiaoming, Commander of China’s People’s Liberation Army Ground Forces, underscored the enduring partnership between Pakistan and China, focusing on mutual benefits and regional stability.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the discussions, Minister Asif highlighted the longstanding relationship centered on the welfare of both nations’ populations and expressed gratitude for China’s support in Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts both regionally and globally.



The meeting further emphasized both countries’ dedication to fostering peace and stability in the region, with General Li commending Pakistan’s role in regional peace initiatives and its efforts in combating terrorism. The talks concluded with a mutual agreement to deepen defense ties between the two nations’ armed forces.



This dialogue reaffirms the strategic alignment and shared goals of Pakistan and China, signaling continued cooperation on defense and security matters in the future.
