Islamabad: A technical and investment cooperation agreement was finalized today between Pakistan’s Forward Sports and China’s Zhongzi Huaxin Group to jointly produce sports footwear in Pakistan.

According to Press Information Department, the collaboration, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), aims to leverage Pakistan’s manufacturing capabilities and China’s investment expertise. Forward Sports, known for producing footballs for the FIFA World Cup, will work alongside Zhongzi Huaxin Group, a Chinese conglomerate with interests in industrial development and regional economic cooperation.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony attended by high-level officials, including the Minister for Defence, Director General of SIFC, and the CEOs of both partnering companies. The cooperation is anticipated to foster technology transfer, industrial development, job creation, and export diversification, enabling Pakistan to expand its footprint in the global footwear market.
