Rawalpindi: Pakistan and Bangladesh have agreed to enhance their defense collaboration, focusing on a comprehensive expansion across various domains. This decision emerged following a productive meeting between Bangladesh’s Principal Staff Officer, Lieutenant General S.M. Kamrul Hassan, and Pakistan’s Defence Secretary, retired Lieutenant General Muhammad Ali.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions centered on broadening the scope of bilateral defense cooperation. The meeting underscored the mutual commitment to reinforcing ties in areas of shared interest.
During the meeting, Pakistan’s Defence Secretary emphasized the importance of the relationship with Bangladesh. He expressed a strong commitment to furthering these ties for mutual benefit.
Lieutenant General Hassan, representing Bangladesh, conveyed his country’s desire for an active and dynamic partnership with Pakistan. Both officials expressed satisfaction with the current level of collaboration and outlined plans to strengthen cooperation in fields beneficial to both nations.
