ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Bahrain have pledged to strengthen their bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors, including trade, investment, energy, agriculture, and information technology, following the 3rd Session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to Press Information Department, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar co-chaired the session with Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. The meeting focused on reviewing progress in bilateral ties and emphasized the importance of transforming the longstanding relationship between the two countries into practical benefits for their citizens. Both sides agreed on the necessity of effective implementation of agreed outcomes through Joint Working Groups and institutional partnerships.
The session was attended by high-level delegations from both nations. The Pakistani delegation included key officials such as the Secretary of the Economic Affairs Division and the Acting Foreign Secretary, alongside senior officials from relevant ministries. The Bahraini delegation comprised senior government officials and representatives from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The discussions also explored ways to bolster connectivity and enhance people-to-people exchanges between Pakistan and Bahrain.
