Srinagar: On the eve of Pakistan Day, Masarrat Aalam Butt, the detained Chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), extended heartfelt congratulations to the people and government of Pakistan. From Tihar Jail in New Delhi, Butt expressed his hope for the nation’s continued progress and prosperity, emphasizing Pakistan’s role as a beacon of hope for Kashmiris and the Muslim Ummah.
In a message disseminated by the Kashmir Media Service, Masarrat Aalam Butt underscored the deep cultural and religious ties binding Kashmiris and Pakistan. He described Pakistan, founded on a noble ideology, as a blessing for Muslims worldwide and reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Kashmiri people to this ideology. Butt stressed that the sacrifices made by Kashmiris are aimed at preserving this ideology and expressed confidence that their dream of aligning with Pakistan would eventually materialize.
APHC leaders and organizations, including Molvi Bashir Irfani, Ghulam Mohammad Khan Sopori, and others, also acknowledged the significance of the Pakistan Resolution passed on March 23, 1940. In statements from Srinagar, they commemorated the resolution as a pivotal milestone in South Asian history.
These leaders reiterated their support for the cause and expressed their solidarity with Pakistan, highlighting their shared vision and aspirations.
