Overseas Pakistanis Convention Set to Begin in Islamabad

Islamabad: The first annual Overseas Pakistanis Convention is scheduled to begin in Islamabad on Sunday, aiming to recognize the contributions of overseas Pakistanis to the national economy. The government has announced that attendees will be granted the status of state guests, with special arrangements in place for their welcome at airports.

The convention will serve as a platform for overseas Pakistanis, government officials, and national institutions to come together. Help desks from various government departments will be established to provide information and services to overseas Pakistanis, demonstrating the government’s commitment to addressing their concerns.

Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, shared a video message highlighting the government’s resolve to work for the welfare of overseas Pakistanis. He emphasized that the convention marks the first time such an event has been organized, and attendees’ opinions and suggestions will be welcomed.

Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis, Awn Chaudhry, also expressed appreciation for the contributions made by overseas Pakistanis, acknowledging their efforts in enhancing Pakistan’s image abroad.
