Islamabad: Over 1,000 officers and personnel from the Islamabad Police have been deployed to provide security in markets and commercial centers, following directives from Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq. According to Islamabad Capital Police, special squads have been assigned for foot patrols to enhance public safety, and the patrolling activities of the Dolphin force have been increased. Female police officers have also been stationed in markets to ensure a secure environment for women.

Traffic police officers are managing major roads and market areas to maintain smooth traffic flow during peak shopping hours, minimizing inconvenience for citizens. The security situation is being continuously monitored through modern cameras installed by the Safe City project, with senior police officers personally supervising the arrangements.

DIG Islamabad has urged citizens to deter professional beggars in markets and report any suspicious activities to the police. As the Eid shopping season intensifies, Islamabad Police remains present in the field, committed to ensuring the safety and convenience of the public, while safeguarding lives and property.
