ISLAMABAD: The 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women is scheduled to begin in Islamabad on Sunday, bringing together delegates from 57 member countries. The two-day conference will focus on creating an enabling environment for women in OIC-member nations, aimed at enhancing their contributions to social and economic development.
According to Radio Pakistan, the conference will discuss strategies to boost women’s political and professional participation, improve their access to economic resources, and integrate them into financial systems. Additionally, the event will explore methods to bridge gender gaps in technology and digital participation.
The conference is expected to gather approximately 190 delegates, including prominent women figures, government representatives, and OIC observers and officials. The gathering aims to foster cooperation on women’s empowerment, rights, and inclusive development among the OIC-member states.
