New International Campus of Pakistan School Inaugurated in Muscat

Muscat: On October 1st, 2024, Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain officially inaugurated the new international campus of Pakistan School in Al-Seeb, Muscat, marking a significant expansion of the Pakistan School System in Oman.

According to Press Information Department, the inauguration ceremony was attended by notable figures including Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, Chaudhry Imran Ali, and Dr. Khadija Al-Salmi, Director General of Private Schools at the Ministry of Education in Oman. The event drew members from both the Pakistani and Omani communities, reflecting the strong bilateral ties between the two nations.

The new campus is a state-of-the-art facility that will accommodate up to 3,000 students from Kindergarten to A-levels, adding to the already robust network of seven campuses under the Pakistan School System in Oman, which currently serves over 8,500 students. This expansion comes in response to growing demand, with the Omani government recently allocating two acres of land for an additional Pakistan International School expected to be completed in eighteen months.

During the ceremony, Minister Hussain highlighted the diverse student body of the Pakistan School System, which includes pupils from 27 different nationalities. He praised the trust that Omani residents place in the institution and underscored the importance of education in fostering mutual understanding and tolerance among students of various backgrounds.

Hussain also emphasized the critical role of the schools in not only providing quality education but also in nurturing character development to shape students into ambassadors of Pakistan. He commended the efforts of the embassy and the school board in enhancing the educational facilities and programs available to students in Oman.

The inauguration of this new campus signifies a commitment to promoting educational opportunities and cultural exchange, supporting the development of a well-rounded, globally aware generation.
