Islamabad: The repatriation of Afghan nationals from Pakistan has reached a significant milestone, with a total of 954,566 individuals having returned to Afghanistan. This movement follows the expiration of the Pakistani government’s deadline for illegal residents to leave the country.

In the latest update, over 5,696 undocumented Afghan nationals were repatriated, underscoring the swift progression of this initiative. The Pakistani government has taken a firm stance, enforcing strict legal measures against those residing without valid documentation, which includes foreign nationals and Afghan citizen cardholders.

Authorities have assured that the repatriation process is being conducted in an orderly and dignified manner. Emphasis has been placed on ensuring that no individual faces mistreatment during their return to Afghanistan.

The Pakistani government has also made arrangements to provide quality food and healthcare services to those being repatriated, aiming to facilitate a smooth transition back to their home country.
