Islamabad: Senior military officials from Pakistan and Belarus convened to deliberate on enhancing defense collaboration, underscoring the mutual interest in bolstering ties between the two nations.
According to Radio Pakistan: A delegation from Belarus, headed by Major General Pavel Muraveiko, Chief of the General Staff and First Deputy Defence Minister, met with Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff of Pakistan, in Islamabad. The discussions centered on professional matters of mutual interest, with a particular focus on defense cooperation.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to fostering long-term and multi-dimensional cooperation with Belarus, signaling the importance Pakistan places on its relationship with the Eastern European country. In response, Major General Muraveiko recognized the efforts of the Pakistan Navy in maintaining regional maritime security, acknowledging their commitment and contribution.
