New York: Pakistan has issued a call to action for young people worldwide, urging them to take a leading role in promoting peace, bolstering multilateral efforts, and enhancing international cooperation to tackle global issues.

According to Radio Pakistan, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, emphasized the vital role of youth in creating a more peaceful and inclusive future. His remarks were made during the opening ceremony of the conference “Future We Want: Global Initiative for Young Leaders” held at the UN headquarters.

Ahmad also pointed out Pakistan’s ongoing advocacy for restraint, dialogue, and de-escalation amid the recent conflict in West Asia. He highlighted Pakistan’s support for diplomatic efforts that led to the creation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
