Islamabad, In their respective messages on Pakistan Day, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have called upon the citizens to embody the principles and dedication of the nation’s founding fathers, aiming to steer Pakistan toward a future marked by peace, progress, and stability.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari paid tribute to the determination and sacrifices of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and his contemporaries, emphasizing the critical role of the armed forces, civil administration, police, and other law enforcement agencies in maintaining the nation’s safety and sovereignty. He also highlighted the importance of resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions as a cornerstone for lasting peace in South Asia.
In parallel, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged the nation to rekindle their commitment to the ideals and struggles of the founding fathers, underscoring the significant migrations and sacrifices made during Pakistan’s creation. Acknowledging the current challenges of inflation, unemployment, debt, deficits, and terrorism facing Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed a firm commitment to economic revitalization and policy reforms aimed at national prosperity.
