National Assembly Leaders Laud New National Press Club Office Bearers


Islamabad, The Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah have extended their congratulations to the new leadership of the National Press Club (NPC) in Islamabad, signaling strong parliamentary support for the journalistic fraternity and media freedom.



According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the top assembly officials commended Azhar Jatoi, Nayar Ali, Waqar Abbasi, and other members of the NPC’s newly elected team. They recognized the trust and confidence vested in them by the journalist community, emphasizing the critical role of the press in fostering freedom of expression—a fundamental right and a pillar of democracy.



The Speaker and Deputy Speaker acknowledged the sacrifices and contributions of journalists toward upholding this freedom and expressed optimism that the new NPC leadership would proactively address the challenges confronting media personnel. They also underscored the parliament’s commitment to media freedom and its sensitivity to the issues faced by journalists.
