Nation Rallies Behind Pakistan Army in Counter-Terrorism Efforts: COAS

Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir emphasized the united front of the Armed Forces of Pakistan in their campaign against terrorism, underscoring the support of the nation and its youth in this endeavor.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Munir, while addressing students in Rawalpindi, expressed confidence in the solidarity and camaraderie within the Armed Forces. He noted that the Pakistani people, particularly the youth, are resolutely standing with the Army in its mission to eradicate terrorism from the country.

General Munir articulated that the Army fights with a collective identity as Pakistanis, driven by a deep love for their country. He conveyed optimism about interacting with future generations and expressed a belief that the nation’s future is secure in their hands.

In his remarks, General Munir pointed out that the Khwarij terrorists have no religious affiliations and are responsible for creating disorder in the nation. He referenced the holy Quran, which calls for the elimination of such disruptive elements unless they repent and submit to state authority.

The Army Chief also reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to combating the ideology of Khwarij terrorists, emphasizing the importance of preserving the respect Islam accords to women. He stated that the nation would oppose any attempts by extremist groups like Fitna-al-Khawarij to impose their values on the country.
