Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has condemned the recent attack on security personnel assigned to protect an anti-polio team in the Salarzai area of Bajaur district, which resulted in the deaths of police officers Mr. Qadir and Mr. Aziz.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Sadiq expressed sorrow and grief over the incident and paid tribute to the martyred officers for their service and sacrifice. He acknowledged the dedication of security personnel protecting polio teams and extended condolences to the families of the deceased, sharing in their grief.
Sadiq denounced the attacks as assaults on national service, emphasizing the importance of the anti-polio campaign and condemning actions that target those protecting children from polio. He affirmed that the nation stands united with security institutions against terrorist efforts to undermine such vital initiatives.
He highlighted the indelible sacrifices of security forces in maintaining peace and offered prayers for the martyred officers and their families.
