Islamabad, The Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan and former Prime Minister, Raja Pervez Ashraf, has voiced strong condemnation against the recent Israeli assault on a hospital and a refugee camp in Gaza, Palestine. Labeling the attack as exceeding all boundaries of human decency and ethics, the Speaker drew attention to the tragic loss of over five hundred innocent lives, including Palestinian children, women, and patients.
According to a news release by National Assembly of Pakistan, The Speaker critiqued the global leadership’s muted response to such grave transgressions, equating their silence to complicity in these war atrocities. He called upon international parliaments to recognize the severity of Israel’s actions and to act decisively to halt further aggression.
Expressing condolences for the departed souls, Raja Pervez Ashraf also emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering moral and diplomatic backing for the Palestinian pursuit of freedom. He further proposed that Muslim nations worldwide must collaboratively develop a strategic response to such actions, at the very least on diplomatic fronts.
