Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, convened with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), on Tuesday at Rehman’s residence to discuss the regional situation and parliamentary affairs. The meeting centered on strengthening the legislative process and enhancing the role of Parliament in promoting national unity and democratic stability.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, both leaders stressed the importance of consultation and cooperation among political leaders to address national challenges. Sadiq highlighted the necessity of a unified strategy for the national interest and encouraged all parliamentary parties to actively engage in resolving national issues and fostering unity. He also noted Pakistan’s active involvement in the Middle East’s evolving situation.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman lauded Sadiq’s leadership as the custodian of the House and underscored Parliament’s pivotal role in addressing current challenges. He also commended Pakistan’s involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict and emphasized the need for parliamentary consensus in making critical decisions in the face of changing regional dynamics.
