Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has condemned the termination of Kashmiri employees from their jobs.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed his disapproval on X, criticizing the occupation administration’s decision to dismiss more Kashmiri employees. He described the action as authoritarian and suggested that the aim might be to systematically remove Kashmiris from government positions, leading to widespread unemployment.
Mirwaiz emphasized the responsibility of elected representatives to address this issue with the authorities, as outlined in their manifesto. He urged them to halt what he termed as acts of harassment against the Kashmiri people.
Additionally, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq criticized the crackdown on Islamic literature and the seizure of Islamic books from shops. He remarked that in an era where information is readily accessible online, confiscating books and attempting to control thought is futile.
