Ministry of Human Rights Acts Against Cleric’s Anti-Education Message

Islamabad: The Ministry of Human Rights has intervened following the emergence of a controversial social media video by a local cleric that disparages the education of girls and promotes backward views. This action underscores the government’s commitment to enforcing educational rights as guaranteed by the constitution.

According to Ministry of Human Rights, the video in question contradicts Article 25A of the Constitution of Pakistan, which ensures the right to education. The Ministry has issued directives to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), law enforcement bodies, and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to take decisive legal action against the dissemination of this video and to ensure its removal from all social media platforms.

This move is part of a broader government effort to promote gender equality in education and to counteract any propaganda that threatens societal progress. The Ministry affirmed that promoting education for all, including girls, is essential for the nation’s development, and such regressive views will not be tolerated.
