Lahore: A meeting chaired by Punjab Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique reviewed matters concerning the Punjab Spatial Planning Authority (PSPA), Planning Support System, Violation Detection System (VDS), and Land Use Plan. Secretary Local Government Zaid Bin Maqsood, Director General Benish Fatima, Additional Secretary Mehreen Faheem Abbasi, and Additional Director General SPA Um Laila were in attendance. According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, Minister Rafique stated that the PSPA is utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to monitor commercial constructions across 129 tehsils in 36 districts. He emphasized the need for immediate reporting of illegal constructions and expressed satisfaction with the completion of AI training and VDS activation. Rafique highlighted the importance of continuing field inspections alongside satellite monitoring.
