MIAMI: The Miami Open Women’s singles final is set to feature a face-off between Belarus’s Aryna Sabalenka and America’s Jessica Pegula, following their victories in the semifinals held in Florida.

Sabalenka, who is currently ranked as the world number one, advanced to the final after defeating Italy’s Jasmine Paolini in straight sets. The three-time Grand Slam champion showcased her skill with a convincing 6-2, 6-2 win over Paolini.

In the other semifinal match, Jessica Pegula secured her place in the final after a challenging three-set battle against wildcard entrant Alexandra Eala from the Philippines. Pegula emerged victorious with scores of 7-6, 5-7, and 6-3.
