Rawalpindi: The Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, has announced the commencement of merit-based cricket trials for the Rawalpindi Division Grade-II team. This initiative is part of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s broader vision to enhance sports throughout Punjab.
According to Press Information Department, the trials, inaugurated by Barrister Danyal, emphasize that talent will be the sole criterion for selection. The event saw attendance from MNA Tahira Aurangzeb, the Director General of the Horticulture Agency Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, Punjab Sports Board officials, coaches, and numerous players. Barrister Danyal acknowledged the collaborative efforts of these institutions, noting the promising potential for sports promotion under the Chief Minister’s vision.
