Mayor of Karachi Marks Urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi with Floral Tribute


Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab visited the shrine of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi during the annual Urs, laying a floral chadar and offering Fateha on behalf of the citizens. He highlighted the shrine’s significance as a spiritual center and its role in the city’s historical and religious fabric.



According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the Mayor acknowledged the contributions of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi in promoting Islamic values and emphasized the continued relevance of his teachings in fostering love, brotherhood, tolerance, and peace. The shrine draws thousands of devotees annually from across Pakistan and abroad, underscoring its spiritual importance.



Barrister Murtaza Wahab assured that all necessary arrangements had been made to facilitate visitors during the three-day Urs. He reiterated the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s dedication to maintaining the city’s cultural and religious traditions and announced a local holiday on June 8, in line with a City Council resolution, to honor the occasion.
