Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab visited Jahangir Road to inspect the ongoing development works, accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Abrar Jaffar. The Mayor assessed the progress on the second section of Jahangir Road, directing officials to ensure the quality and pace of the work.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Mayor Wahab noted that the second section of Jahangir Road is nearing completion, with finishing touches currently underway. He reported that traffic flow is smooth and measures are in place to enhance travel facilities for citizens. Jahangir Road, under federal jurisdiction, is being reconstructed by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, and fiber manhole covers have been installed to prevent theft.

Mayor Wahab also indicated plans to remove unnecessary cables and improve streetlights and the green belt along Jahangir Road. He emphasized that development works are advancing across all districts of the city to provide better facilities for Karachi’s residents. During the visit, the Mayor engaged with citizens and took selfies with children, who expressed satisfaction with the progress of the development works.
