Mayor of Karachi and Chinese Consul General Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties in Farewell Meeting

Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab convened a farewell meeting with the Consul General of China in Karachi, Mr. Yang Yundong, emphasizing the promotion of Pakistan-China friendship. The meeting underscored the importance of the longstanding relations between the two nations, highlighting efforts to bolster these ties further.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Mayor Wahab praised the enduring relationship between Pakistan and China, underscoring collaborative efforts to enhance this exemplary partnership. He acknowledged China’s significant role in advancing Karachi’s local government, noting the notable improvements in the city’s law and order situation over the past decade, which have fostered increased opportunities for investment and development.

Consul General Yang Yundong expressed his appreciation for the hospitality of Karachi’s people, describing the city as one of lights, love, and warmth. During the meeting, discussions also covered topics pertaining to Pakistan-China relations, Karachi’s development, and mutual cooperation.
