Srinagar, February 14, 2023 (PPI-OT):The incarcerated Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Masarrat Aalam Butt, has appealed to the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to make the shutdown call for tomorrow against the Hindutva policies being furthered by the Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government to change the demographic composition of the occupied territory. Call for the strike has been given by the APHC and supported by all Hurriyat leaders and organizations against the Modi regime’s Hindutva policies to dislodge the Kashmiri people from their lands and properties, and to settle non-locals there.

Masarrat Aalam Butt in a message from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail deplored that India is committing the worst violation of human rights by taking away the Kashmiris’ lands and demolishing their houses in the name of anti-encroachment drive in IIOJK but the international human rights organizations have maintained a criminal silence on such Indian brutalities. He said India is collectively punishing the Kashmiri people for demanding their right to self-determination even as their freedom struggle is in line with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

The APHC Chairman said the Modi government is using bulldozers as a weapon against the Kashmiri people and the houses, properties and other structures of the common citizens are being demolished. He said Bharatiya Janata Party is forcibly evicting the people from their lands to change the Muslim majority status of the occupied territory. Masarrat Aalam Butt said India is following the Israeli tactics to forcibly silence political opponents in the occupied territory. He urged the international community to force India to stop systematic genocide of the oppressed Kashmiris.
