Islamabad: The Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt, met with Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah, to discuss the organization’s current operations and future strategies. The meeting addressed challenges faced by the agency and outlined plans for improving service delivery.

Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt congratulated Minister Shah on his new role and expressed confidence in his leadership to advance poverty alleviation efforts. A briefing was given on Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal’s welfare programs and administrative matters, with a focus on improving efficiency following a period without a permanent Managing Director.

A significant part of the discussion was on reducing administrative and distribution costs. The goal is to limit these expenses to 15-20% of the total budget, ensuring more funds reach the underprivileged.

The cochlear implant program was highlighted, which has benefited over 1,800 individuals with hearing impairments across Pakistan. The Federal Minister was invited to visit the headquarters for a detailed briefing on ongoing and future projects.

Minister Shah expressed satisfaction with the initiatives and emphasized the effective use of resources to support those in need, aligning with government priorities.
