Loralai Officials Rally for Anti-Polio Drive and Educational Improvements


Loralai, In a concerted effort to eradicate polio and enhance local education, key officials in Loralai convened two critical meetings presided over by Assistant Commissioner Yahya Khan Kakar and Deputy Commissioner Miran Baloch respectively.



According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the first meeting focused on the upcoming five-day anti-polio campaign starting June 3. Dr. Malik Aman Kadizai, the District Health Officer (DHO) of Loralai, detailed the preparatory measures in place to ensure a wide-reaching and effective campaign. Assistant Commissioner Kakar emphasized the importance of diligence and cooperation among health department teams and district officers to ensure a successful drive, highlighting the critical role of vaccinations in safeguarding children’s futures.



The second meeting addressed several pressing issues concerning the local education sector. Deputy Commissioner Baloch outlined strategies for reopening closed schools, improving teacher training, and enforcing attendance. Special attention was given to reactivating educational institutions and supporting meritorious and underprivileged students through scholarships. Baloch stressed the importance of community involvement in enhancing educational opportunities for children, which he described as crucial for the region’s long-term health and prosperity.



Both meetings reflect Loralai’s dual focus on health and education as pillars for developing a robust and vibrant community, with officials taking a no-compromise approach to tackling polio and educational deficits in the district.
