Rawalpindi: The funeral prayer for Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Hussain was held at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi, marking the solemn occasion with attendance from high-ranking officials and citizens. The officer, hailing from District Sargodha, succumbed to injuries sustained during an Intelligence-Based Operation against Indian-sponsored terrorists in Balochistan.
According to Press Information Department, the ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, along with federal ministers and senior military and civil officers. The Prime Minister praised Lieutenant Colonel Hussain’s bravery and commitment to the nation, emphasizing the continued resolve of Pakistan’s Armed Forces to combat terrorism.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the sacrifices of martyrs like Lieutenant Colonel Hussain bolster the nation’s determination to maintain peace and sovereignty. The fallen officer will be interred with full military honors in his hometown, as the nation extends condolences to his family and pays tribute to his sacrifice.
