Landslide Relief Efforts Underway in Murree Under CM’s Directives


LAHORE: Relief operations are in progress in the Jhika Gali area of Murree following a landslide, as directed by Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Rescue 1122 teams, along with Scouts personnel, are actively engaged in relief activities under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Murree, Zaheer Abbas Shirazi.



According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the chief minister has requested a report on the situation in the landslide-affected area and has commended the district administration and Rescue 1122 officers for their prompt and effective response. Additionally, CM Punjab has instructed authorities to enforce strict monitoring throughout Murree to anticipate and mitigate the risk of further landslides. “Standing with the people in every difficult time is the essence of good governance,” she stated.
