Lahore Police Celebrates Promotion of 50 ASIs, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Leads Ceremony

Karachi, In a significant development within the Punjab Police, a rank placement ceremony was held in Lahore, marking the promotion of 50 head constables to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI). The event, led by Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, signifies continued progress in the department’s series of promotions.

According to Punjab Police, the promoted ASIs come from diverse branches within the Lahore Police, including Operations, Investigation, Organized Crime, Security Duty, Elite, Special Branch, and the Training College Chohang. The promotions encompass 09 ASIs from Operations, 23 from Investigation, 07 from Organized Crime, among others.

Dr. Usman Anwar, during the ceremony, emphasized the dual role of the police as both a service and a force. He recognized the unwavering commitment of police personnel in their duty to protect and serve the citizens. Dr. Anwar directed the newly promoted officers to enhance their fight against crime and effectively use modern technology for service delivery. He stressed the importance of adopting a positive attitude and good manners while providing public services.

Further, Dr. Anwar highlighted the utility of the Hermes mobile application in addressing administrative and professional challenges faced by the force. He expressed these views while addressing the personnel who were promoted, stressing the real job of the police as public service delivery.

The ceremony, which was attended by the families of the promoted ASIs, also saw the participation of high-ranking officials, including Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Operations Lahore Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and other senior officers. Dr. Usman Anwar assured that further promotions to the ASI rank would soon be conducted to fill the vacant seats of the head constable rank.

This event marks a significant step in recognizing the hard work and dedication of police officers, reinforcing the commitment of the Punjab Police to their development and the effective delivery of public services.
