Islamabad: Kazakhstan has shown a keen interest in investing in Pakistan’s maritime sector, as highlighted during a recent meeting between officials from both countries. The discussions, aimed at exploring potential joint ventures, focus on enhancing Kazakhstan’s access to regional and international trade through Pakistani ports, including Gwadar’s free zones.
According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan’s Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, extended an invitation to Kazakh investors to consider collaborative projects in the maritime sector. The invitation was made during a meeting in Islamabad with an 11-member delegation from Kazakhstan, led by Timur Turlov, CEO of Freedom Holding Corp. The Kazakh delegation expressed a strong interest in the sector, indicating a growing international confidence in Pakistan’s economic and maritime policies.
