Islamabad: The Ambassador of Kazakhstan announced plans for the nation to officially join the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project during a meeting with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Khalid Hussain Magsi. This development is poised to enhance energy collaboration and economic connectivity across the region.

The discussions centered on strengthening bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, with a focus on education, scientific research, and technology. Both parties expressed a commitment to improving ties and agreed on the importance of signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in the education sector in the near future.

The Kazakh Ambassador also proposed the idea of establishing a joint research center at the National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad. This initiative aims to foster collaboration in scientific endeavors and technological advancements.

In addition to education and research, the meeting addressed the need to improve the business environment and take joint measures against smuggling. The discussions highlighted the shared goal of expanding cooperation in science, technology, and education, reflecting a mutual interest in deepening the partnership between the two countries.
