Islamabad: The ambassadors of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan met with Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations and parliamentary diplomacy. The meetings, held at the Parliament House, highlighted the importance of people-to-people contacts and cooperation between the nations.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, during the meeting with Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin, Speaker Sadiq praised the contributions of the ambassador in enhancing Pakistan-Kazakhstan relations. The discussion included historical ties, mutual trust, and the significance of parliamentary diplomacy. The recent visit of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Pakistan was noted as a key event opening new avenues for cooperation. Ambassador Kistafin expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts in peaceful resolutions of international disputes and shared his positive experiences during his tenure.

In a separate meeting with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, Speaker Sadiq congratulated him on the completion of his tenure and acknowledged his role in deepening Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations. The dialogue focused on fraternal ties, bilateral cooperation, and shared interests. Speaker Sadiq highlighted the growing engagement between the two nations, including the increasing number of Pakistani students in Azerbaijan, and emphasized the continued support at regional and international forums. Ambassador Farhadov expressed gratitude for the hospitality and voiced confidence in the flourishing future of Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations.
