Kashmiri Shawl Seller Attacked and Robbed in Punjab


Srinagar: A shawl seller from Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) was assaulted and robbed in the Kapurthala area of Indian Punjab. The incident highlights ongoing tensions and safety concerns for Kashmiris working outside their home region.



According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Mohammad Shafi Khoja, a resident of Kralpora in the Kupwara district, was attacked by at least three individuals. The assailants not only physically assaulted Khoja but also stole his merchandise and personal belongings.



Khoja was subsequently transported to a hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment. As of the latest available reports, he remains under care. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the investigation or potential suspects in the case.
