Kargil Protests Mark Jumat-ul-Wida as Youm-e-Quds with Anti-Israel Demonstration

Kargil: Thousands of residents in Kargil, a district in the Ladakh region of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, observed Jumat-ul-Wida as Youm-e-Quds by staging a significant protest against Israeli actions and in support of Palestine.

The rally began at the Isna Ashriya Campus Kargil, led by Sheikh Ibrahim Khalili, a noted religious scholar. Demonstrators marched through the Main Bazaar and Lal Chowk, eventually gathering at Isna Ashriya Chowk.

Participants included a wide array of religious scholars, youth leaders, and civil society members. They voiced their opposition to what they described as genocide and war crimes in Palestine.

Protesters carried banners and placards with messages such as “Free Palestine,” “Boycott Israel,” “Stop Atrocities Against Muslims,” and “Zionism = Racism.” They called for an end to the occupation and the siege of Gaza.
