Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab Undergoes Medical Checkup at Spencer Eye Hospital

Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab visited the Spencer Eye Hospital, part of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), to undergo a medical checkup, following the regular outpatient department (OPD) procedure like an ordinary citizen. According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Mayor Wahab obtained an OPD slip, waited his turn, and was examined by the doctor without any special protocol, emphasizing equal treatment for all citizens.

During his visit, Mayor Wahab underscored the importance of quality healthcare facilities for every citizen of Karachi, highlighting efforts to restore public trust in KMC’s services. He noted the transformation of Spencer Eye Hospital into a center of public trust and cited his own treatment there as evidence of improvements in public sector institutions.

Mayor Wahab stated that KMC hospitals will see enhancements in medical facilities, medicine availability, cleanliness, and modern equipment to ensure the best healthcare services. He emphasized the development of public assets and their transparent utilization, with a focus on making institutions established through citizens’ taxes true centers of public service.

Highlighting the significance of institutions like Spencer Eye Hospital, Mayor Wahab expressed the aim to expand their capacity and provide modern facilities to ensure quality treatment.
