Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced that the 12th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) will be held from November 19-22, 2024, at the Karachi Expo Centre. This event aims to foster technological innovation and strengthen strategic international relationships through defense collaboration.
According to Chief Minister Sindh, “IDEAS 2024 is designed as a shared platform for global peace, stability, and prosperity.” The announcement came during the 2nd Steering Committee Meeting at CM House, attended by high-ranking officials including Provincial Ministers, the Chief Secretary, DG DEPO, and other key stakeholders. The meeting focused on the national-level preparations for IDEAS 2024, emphasizing the Sindh government’s commitment to ensuring the event’s success through comprehensive planning and stakeholder coordination.
Chief Minister Shah remarked that IDEAS has been a significant biennial event since its inception in 2000, promoting international cooperation and knowledge sharing among defense manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers. The upcoming edition will include demonstrations of the latest defense technologies, international seminars, and opportunities for business expansion through B2B and B2G engagements. A special public event is also scheduled to take place at Sea View (Nishan-e-Pakistan) on November 21.
