Justice Baqar Stresses Discipline and Patriotism at IBA Convocation in Karachi

Karachi, Speaking at the IBA Convocation-2023, Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Justice (R) Maqbool Baqar emphasized the intrinsic connection between discipline, devotion, patriotism, and love for the nation. He addressed the graduates as future leaders, underscoring their responsibility to use their education and patriotism in the pursuit of justice, equality, and progress for Pakistan.

According to Sindh Chief Minister House, Justice Baqar's speech at the convocation ceremony highlighted the transformative power of education and the role of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in shaping future leaders. He reminisced about IBA's long history since its collaboration with the Wharton School in 1955 and its evolution into a premier multidisciplinary institution. Baqar inspired the graduates by reminding them of their potential to influence the nation's future through their decisions and actions.

The Chief Minister elaborated on the significance of patriotism in the context of Pakistan's diverse cultural, linguistic, and traditional fabric. He encouraged the IBA graduates to appreciate this diversity and be advocates for inclusion and respect. Drawing from Nelson Mandela's words, Baqar described education as a powerful weapon to change the world, asserting that the graduates are well-prepared to impact Pakistan and beyond.
