KARACHI: Pakistan’s Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, announced the successful berthing of the first fully transshipment cargo vessel, M.V. ERLIN, at Karachi Port. This marks a significant shift in the port’s operations, which previously only engaged in container transshipment.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized that this development could establish Pakistan as a key maritime hub in the region. By integrating international trade routes, the initiative is expected to expand business opportunities significantly.
