Islamabad: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan convened in Islamabad to address key agenda items concerning the appointment and evaluation of judges, as detailed in a recent meeting. The commission’s discussions focused on interviews of judges, performance evaluation rules for high court judges, amendments to existing appointment rules, and criteria for nominating judges to constitutional benches.



According to Press Information Department, the meeting took place in the Supreme Court Building’s conference room at 2:00 p.m. The commission resolved to present all discussed items at an upcoming meeting, which will include representatives from all high courts. The meeting is scheduled to occur next week, reflecting the commission’s continued efforts to refine the judicial appointment and evaluation process.
