Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has welcomed the recent signing of a Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye, emphasizing its significance as a strategic victory for Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. According to National Assembly of Pakistan, this agreement, signed in Makkah, underscores Pakistan’s increasing influence in regional peace and security initiatives.

Speaker Sadiq praised the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for their roles in facilitating this agreement. He highlighted the potential of the agreement to fortify collective security and contribute to regional stability, reflecting the shared determination of the three nations to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Speaker Sadiq noted the agreement as a manifestation of the strong bonds among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye, rooted in common religious beliefs and values. He expressed optimism that this development would pave the way for enhanced defence cooperation and mutual support among the trio.

Additionally, Speaker Sadiq commended Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces of Pakistan, for his dedication to national security and his contributions to strengthening Pakistan’s defence partnerships. He expressed hope that the agreement would foster a new era of cooperation, trust, and peace among the three nations and throughout the region.
