Italy’s New Ambassador Discusses Trade and Cultural Ties with Sindh Governor


Karachi, The recently appointed Italian Ambassador to Pakistan, Marilia Armellin, met with the Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, to discuss strengthening bilateral trade and cultural relations. The meeting, held at the Governor’s House, also touched upon investment opportunities and other significant bilateral issues.



According to Sindh Governor House, Ambassador Armellin, accompanied by the Consul General of Italy, Mr. Danilo Giurdanella, explored various aspects of cooperation between Pakistan and Italy. Governor Tesori assured the Italian delegation of support for Italian investors and highlighted the role of the Sindh Investment Facilitation Center (SIFC) in aiding potential investments. The discussions also included a cultural exchange, with the Governor presenting traditional Sindh hats and ajrak to the Italian officials.



During their visit, the Italian Ambassador and the Governor also toured several key initiatives at the Governor’s House, including the Quaid Room and the IT marquee. The Ambassador showed keen interest in historical artifacts related to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and praised the Governor’s welfare initiatives under the banner of ‘Mighty Pakistan,’ which includes distributing ration bags to the needy.
