ISLAMABAD: Following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Traffic Police have been actively working to ensure a smooth traffic flow in the federal capital, while also providing guidance and assistance to citizens.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk recently honored Sub-Inspector Zahoor Ahmed as “Cop of the Month” for his consistent performance, adherence to traffic laws, and dedication to public service. Ahmed received a commendation certificate and a cash prize for his efforts.
Additionally, other traffic police officers and personnel were acknowledged for their diligent work, receiving certificates of appreciation and cash rewards. The CTO emphasized the importance of the officers’ and personnel’s dedication to ensuring the smooth flow of traffic for public convenience.
CTO Virk instructed officers to maintain coordination with their subordinates and to enforce strict legal action against traffic law violators. He also highlighted the role of awareness teams in educating the public about traffic rules and road safety at various locations.
Furthermore, the Islamabad Traffic Police are disseminating information about road safety, traffic laws, and the latest traffic updates in Islamabad through FM Radio 92.4, as part of their ongoing public service efforts.
