ISLAMABAD: In a significant move to enhance citizen convenience, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has expanded its online services, allowing residents to apply for learner permits, renew driving licenses, and obtain duplicate licenses from home. This digital shift, directed by Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, aims to streamline processes for the public.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, effective Monday, October 19, these services will no longer be available at Faizabad Traffic Headquarters and other Police Khidmat Markaz. Instead, renewed and duplicate driving licenses will be delivered directly to applicants through TCS courier services, eliminating the need for in-person visits.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan emphasized the importance of providing accurate personal information, such as full name, residential address, and an active mobile number, to avoid delays in the delivery process. She reiterated the commitment of the Islamabad Traffic Police to offering modern and efficient services, prioritizing the facilitation of citizens and the conservation of their time.
