Islamabad Traffic Police Host Road Safety Seminar at Pakistan Red Crescent

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police organized a seminar focused on road safety at the Pakistan Red Crescent, emphasizing the significance of traffic law compliance and safe driving practices. The event featured Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Kainat Azhar Khan, as the chief guest, along with the participation of Director ITPFM 92.4 Ayesha Jameel and officials from both the Education Wing and Pakistan Red Crescent.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the seminar highlighted various aspects of road safety including the use of seat belts and helmets, observing speed limits, and the importance of respecting pedestrians’ rights. The Education Wing also addressed the dangers associated with the use of mobile phones while driving. CTO Khan underscored the necessity of strict adherence to traffic laws to protect lives, urging all citizens, particularly those in public and private sectors, to integrate these practices into their daily routines.

Officers from the Education Wing encouraged attendees to not only adhere to traffic regulations themselves but also promote road safety awareness among their communities to mitigate traffic-related accidents. They reiterated that compliance with traffic laws is crucial for the safety of all road users.

The seminar also included a question-and-answer session focused on traffic laws, with prizes awarded to participants with correct responses. The event concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields between the Islamabad Traffic Police and the Pakistan Red Crescent.
