Islamabad: The Chief Traffic Officer of Islamabad, Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, has announced a comprehensive crackdown on major traffic violations, including lane violations, wrong-way driving, and reckless driving. In a video message, he highlighted the risks these actions pose to both drivers and other road users.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the initiative aims to curb traffic violations that contribute significantly to fatal accidents in the federal capital. The CTO emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic laws to safeguard lives and property, stressing that the Islamabad Traffic Police will enforce regulations rigorously to foster a safer traffic environment.

The campaign urges citizens to uphold responsibility by observing lane discipline, avoiding wrong-way driving, and exercising caution. Public cooperation, Virk noted, is crucial for the success of the initiative. Legal measures will be undertaken against offenders as part of the crackdown.
